I believe it is ethically wrong to hold someone's life hostage in order to make a living. As a community, as a nation, countrymen should take care of eachother. Work something out, call it what you want, but don't ransom eachother's lives for dollars.

Michael Moore is a communist he and Clinton won't be happy until they have all of our money and we depend totally on the government services THEY want to control. If you want good health care get off your lazy butt and earn it! If you want everything provided by your government then move to a one of the socialistic countries Michael loves so much or simply join the military.

It's a nice concept, but fiscally impossible. The government is too big, and have breached the social contract. Don't give them more power to abuse. They can't treat us, so don't pay for it. They can't protect you, so don't give them your guns. Power comes from the people. Time to remind them of that.

I don't notice the taxes off my cheque and the fact that I get primary health care (regular check-ups, nutritional counseling, options to get a midwife and chinese medicine if i want) - it's all worth it for me! I think i pay less than 30% in taxes, health care included.

You all are missing the point.... when you pay taxes as an american... its still your money... We find money to kill people... we can find money to provide medicines, health care, education and feed the poor.... Why is it... The federal gov will create a debt on the tax payer for weapons of war.... But will not create a debt for the betterment and health of the people who they collect the tax from? ISNT IT ABOUT TIME WE SPEND THE TAX MONEY ON OURSELVES!!

You all are missing the point.... when you pay taxes as an american... IT'S STILL YOUR MONEY!... The Gov finds money to kill people... I just don't understand this trust for the government. It scares me a lot that people want the government to control so much in our lives. The Free Market could do a much better job if the government would get its greedy, power hungry hands out of our lives.

Socialized medicine is.... exactly what we need.. I believe that if we dont have it by time i get out of college.. I'm moving out of the United states back to where my family came from in Europe... its really sad, but i'm afraid 2 see my parents get older and not be able 2 take care of medical bills..

Well, the current system isn't working, and we are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars every year for health insurance (those of us who can afford it) and our coverage stinks! And when you see how universal health care is working in other countries, it makes our country look pretty pathetic.

Exactky Schmykl. I've lived in US, Sweden, France, UK
Belgium and have some (Im healthy) experience in all their health systems. My grandad
brother are docs who worked in US and EU. 1. Socialized healthcare has DIFFERENT problems. 2. US healthcare companies are in a unique polsition cuz pple dont understand medicine to SCAM pple in US. Solution? Dunno!
