This song brings tears to my eyes because in the second verse its talking about hush little baby you know your daddys bound to die, and when he sang it later in his life its like he knew he was fxin to die. It's just really sad to me. But it is still a wonderful song and no one will ever sing it like him. He is a kind a person that we were lucky enough to have for 42 years, but we never have another like him. But we will see him again someday in a better place. I know I can't wait.Elvis forever!

I'm 14 but feel Elvis is the best. Ever. The music of today just does not seem have any meaning behind it, in my opinion, but is rather bands just trying to make some money and break into the industry. It is also awesome to hear all of Elvis's live performances. These were before the days of extremely high-tech editing, so you HAD to be good to make it. Nowadays, it's pathedic to hear MOST people sing live, because of all the editing done on their voices in the albums. He was a genius musician!

What a superb arrangement of that song the big cresendo at the end,I was in Graceland a few years ago and I can tell you if you are a fan you must go what an experience,to see his private planes,cars,house and of course his grave where people still weep openly,a real trip of a lifetime I stayed in the Peabody Hotel......

Elvis`Hawaii-special did not show him at his vocally best, but there were a few spine-tingling moments, like this version of "An American Trilogy". Elvis embodied the essence of America, and regretfully finished it the worst possible way. A fairytale with the saddest ending.

There will never be another performer like Elvis. I'll always enjoy listening and/or watching him. He doesn't deserve ANY critizism about anything regarding his life.
He was just a poor country boy, who made a great success out of his life. I can't imagine the stress he had to deal with. I think losing his wife and child just depressed him until he couldn't handle life anymore. There was no one to help him. He always reached out to help others. I'm sure he's looking over Lisa Marie.
