HELP! I'm caring for an Injured Robin

Uploaded by: BarbLehto
Video Description:
I have had this Robin for about a week. He eats like a pig. I don't think his wing is broken, but he has a wound on his side above his wing. I put a little peroxide on it when I first found him. I can't find anyone willing to take him, so I'm doing my best to nurse him along. Any advice is welcome.

I've rescued many birds and please listen to this! The longer you keep this injured robin the better chance it will have of not recovering, if you don't know what to do PLEASE don't keep this bird.. I know it looks so adorable but robins are meant to be in the wild, TAKE this robin to a wild life center as soon as possible. Thanks for helping it!

i rescued a robin when I was a kid-raised it from a baby to adult. Sounds cute but not really. Trouble was it knew no fear-would land on my dog's back etc. Take it to wildlife rescue.

Although its very kind of you to help most people are right. It needs to go to some type of wildlife place. You can only do so much to help and some wild animals wont be acceped back into the wild after human contact. So your really helping him more if you find a place to take him that deals with wild animals.

Does he... peck you? If he does, *shrugs* well, that's the way it goes. It's a wild bird. I'd peck you too. A big pink think holding me... eeh! Scary! Not saying people are scary.
If its eating well, ... ( 8 months ago by cujo55544)
If its eating well, that's the first good sign. Birds are highly sensitive animals, they don't generally eat under stress. Judging from that wing though I'd say he's in a pretty risky position.... it looks broken or dislocated. My advice, an unconventional position: If its wing doesn't heal properly, it'll never fly, and if it's not illegal, I think it's life would be better spent as a loved pet than an easy prey item.

Chose?!?!?!? Maybe you are rich enough to afford gold plated duck-chops at your market but the Robin was all I could afford. They were on special for $0.99/lb. should I have eaten cake instead Marie? If you haven't been starving you would never understand.

First, I never said I was rich, you don't know me. =P Second, how are you even here on the internet? From what I know, you have to pay for the service. Instead of wating electricity, use that money to get a decent food. Better yet...get off the computer to work, go to school, ANYTHING. Also, do not ask for pity, regardless social status.
