Your comments are very unfortunate. How come the rest of the world doesn't think so? Except in Australia only we heard the B.S. from the sore losers. The Italians are the ones who get the most robbed in every world cup all up. They still got robbed in the finals in 2006 even though they won. Get over it.

thorpe beat phelps in the 200m freestyle. also hoogenband beat him in teh 200 (phelps got bronze) - but sicne then phelps has broken the 200m freestyle world record and so would be faster than thorpe But... thorpes record in the 400 still stands

No. Aaron Peirson beat phelps in 100m backstroke(U.S Trial), Tom Malchow beat Phelps in 2000 sydney, VDH beat him in 2004 Atnens, and Ian Croker beat Phelps in 2005 Montreal. There are many swimmers who ever beeat Phelps at one event.
