You see, music is like a chain, every time a bettter one replaces the old generation of bands.Led Zep, Sabbath were replaced by honorable bands like Metallica ,Slayer,Megadeth and soo many others, but which band would replace these ones? The emo bands? or the fake melodic death bands?..

Possessed of course... There's a lot of good death metal and black metal. Too many bands to name, just check metal's history before you start mentioning emo bands. Seems like you just overlooked 20 years or something. Metal didn't simply go from metallica to emo (or slipknot), it's just that VH1 doesn't want you to know that.

propaply my post wasnt clear. Im talking about bands created after 1995 and 2000, i dont know any serious band from these ages. Maybe there few good, but the majority is really crap. When i said about Megadeth, Slayer etc i didnt point out only them, i was reffering to all 90's bands, as well the death/black of these years. The fake death ones goes to 2000+ era.
I dont read metal magazines, most of them are controlled for money, in the name of the record industry.

LOL, I'm black myself, so I'm a little surprised that there's a black man there. Considering that there aren't a lot of black people that listens to metal, let alone in the 80s. There's also the stupid stereotype, that all metal bands are racists and satanic...

I hope you all know there are more thrash bands than metallica, anthrax, slayer, megadeth, and sepultura.

It seems to me every generation of metal is like the old generation, but with more punk, somehow it never fully becomes punk. NWOBHM is like proto-metal with punk influence. Thrash is like NWOBHM with punk attitude and some chromatic composition. Death metal is like thrash with punk form(not verse-chorus) and atonal composition. Black metal is like death with punk simplicity and some romanticism.

Yeah it's just a stereotype. It's true metal is mostly listened to and played by white males. But there are also plenty of colored people in metal. Tom Araya is obviously hispanic for instance and Suffocation and Blasphemy have black guys in them. I just find it annoying when sometimes it's used as a gimmick, like people saying "this band is great because they're all chinese girls" even though they make mediocre music.
