One day I was bored so I went to google to and typed in Akira. You know Kaneda's bike? Well, it turns out that a few acual, rideable models were made! However, only a few in the world exist, and they all cost like...over $9000. Aint that some shit? Oh well.
Anyways, this scene is one of my favs from this spectacular movie. I don't know why, but I'm so drawn to the tail-lights. The way they glow and leave streaks like that is simply awesome. If only they could do that in real life. *sigh*

I fuggin' love the music tracks in these scenes. Especially the beggining at 2:07.
Also (I might be wrong and just hearing things) I could have SWORN I heard "Kaneda...Tetsuo!" in the song at 1:49. Does anyone know if the Akira creators ever made a CD soundtrack?

Lots of effort was out in the making of this masterpiece....just remember while watching this was made in the 80's with traditional animating method. The scene after this is like O.o :D
